Jingle Bells! December is here and I am in full Christmas party mode. That being said, whilst I love getting all glammed up for a party night out, I love nothing more than cosying up in seriously lush cosy knitwear.
There is currently a never-ending supply of the nicest tops and coats in high street stores and boutiques, Whitefawn Boutique included. (Sweater and gilet pictured above from Whitefawn) and the torture is real to be good!!

Deep V Neck Jumper @ Topshop
Oversized Funnel Neck Jumper

Happy December gals, Clare XX
Having left it too late last winter to get the winter coat I lusted after so dearly (still not quite over it!), as soon as the autumn/winter pieces started to drop this year, I pounced as soon as my eyes caught this faux fur beauty from Topshop. The perfect colour to go with everything! Saying that, I am a creature of habit for neutral tones and florals (guilty!!). Since I got my coat, it has sold out but thankfully, they have re-stocked in a peach colour which I think is a much more flattering tone.
I paired it for a recent style shoot with this cute floral midi dress and gorgeous belt from Whitefawn Boutique
If there is one thing you spend money on this winter, a coat is well worth the investment, it will pay for itself in no time! Take your time in choosing the right one for you and make sure it will work with everything else in your wardrobe. You need to ensure all your hard earned pennies are being well spent.
Winter Coat Top Picks:

Topshop Curly Faux Fur Coat
Zara Dusty Pink Aviator Jacket
Zara Faux Fur Jacket
Warehouse Oversized Teddy Coat – FYI also on ASOS if sizes run low 😉
Topshop Faux Shearling Biker Jacket
There is no doubt about it – when Spring has sprung, I am instantly refreshing my wardrobe! Let’s be honest, winter in Ireland is long, drab and dark and the need for brighter tones once March arrives is instant! Plus many of us have just finished paying endless January and February bills after the Christmas period! Light knits can be so easy to style. Pair a cropped knit over a cute dress or skirt and a longer knit over your favourite jeans, layering with a leather jacket for an extra edge. You can get my rust knit here
A light knit will see you through the spring, summer and autumn seasons. Layer up or down as the temperatures change (which is common in Ireland). A pretty jumper will take you from day to night easily!!
Some of my favourite knits at the moment:
River Island Grey Mesh off Shoulder Jumper
Free People Endless Stories Jumper @ ASOS
Frills, ribbon details and mesh are high on trend this season and all are super flattering to wear. Many of my readers will know at this stage, that I am big on quality over quantity with everything (something my bank balance does not thank me for at times!!) So my advice is, if you really love something and you will genuinely get the wear out of it, then go for it! The reality is, it will go far if the quality and brand is good. Look outside the box too – if you purchase something from a small boutique or a different brand on a website such as ASOS, subsequently the chances are your choice will be unique and no one else will probably have it!
Zara Cropped Sweater with Ribbon Details
& Other Stories Frilled Merino Wool Knit
Finally, as the saying goes, “If you can’t stop thinking about it, buy it.” Happy shopping! X
